Questions and practical limits
Will the archival PDF retain selectable text and accessibility tags?
No. This mode rebuilds pages as images. It does not preserve text search, vectors or tags and should not be chosen when those properties are required.
Can any PDF be converted to this archival mode?
No. Encrypted or signed files, forms and non-link annotations are rejected. PDF/A-2b also may not match your archive's required conformance level; check its specification first.
