Try to repair a damaged PDF
Attempt to make a structurally damaged PDF readable through a conservative parse-and-rewrite process. A bad cross-reference offset is one tested recoverable case; missing or truncated content is not promised recoverable. Repair requires a configured native service; current availability is shown above the tool.

When this tool helps
- Attempt recovery when a reader rejects an otherwise complete PDF file.
- Test whether a cross-reference problem can be fixed without recreating the document.
Questions and practical limits
Can repair restore pages that are missing from the file?
Not reliably. Structural rewriting can recover some parsing problems, but it cannot promise to recreate data that was never saved or was lost through truncation.
Does opening successfully prove that the PDF is fully repaired?
No. A file may open while still missing content. Compare the repaired copy with available originals, expected page counts or backups before relying on it.
